This helicopter is Federal Excess Property, originally
purchased with Federal Tax Dollars for the Vietnam Conflict.
This aircraft is now used for wildland firefighting,
effectively "recycling" those tax dollars!
The aircraft has been extensively upgraded
and carries an initial attack crew of eight Helitack Firefighters.
